For flight attendant Mariya Selivanova, the sky is the meaning of life, and work is a real vocation. But she makes the difficult decision to leave flying and devote herself to her family. However, "earthly" life brings her unpleasant discoveries. Her husband Aleksey is not what the heroine imagined him to be. Mariya is forced to take her son and run away from her native Surgut to Moscow. She gets a job at Aeroflot and starts life from scratch. The working days of a girl of a "heavenly" profession are intertwined with a complex family drama. Ahead of her is a difficult relationship with the commander of the ship Zhdanov and the struggle for her own happiness.
